Introducing the Roam 5G Campervan, the ultimate solution for Wi-Fi whilst going away in your campervan. The Roam 5G Campervan is designed to be even faster and even more powerful than our very popular Maxview Roam Campervan and Roam X Campervan systems.
The Maxview Roam 5G Campervan Wi-Fi kit users a router and an externally-mounted antenna to take 4G and 5G and turn it into a Wi-Fi hotspot for your vehicle. If you’re a digital nomad or just like exploring the country in your campervan, the Roam 5G Campervan Wi-Fi system ensures that in low signal and remote areas that you stay connected.
The Roam 5G Campervan antenna is designed specifically with campervans and panel vans in mind, it has a smaller footprint so does not take up precious space on the roof of your vehicle, and will fit in between the ridges on ridged-rooves.
Please note the following version differences:
- The white version comes with a longer (0.8m) and a separate long cable (2m) as standard.
- The black version comes with a shorter (0.3m) and a separate long cable (2m) as standard.
The Maxview Roam 5G Campervan Wi-Fi system contains everything you need to provide super fast internet for all the family. Ideal for very heavy users of the internet, the Roam 5G is designed specifically for vehicles such as campervans, motorhomes and caravans.
Every Roam Campervan 5G Wi-Fi kit comes with a 5G FREE BroadbandGo SIM card. Once the 5GB is used it’s possible to go straight onto one of their packages.

How does it work?
The Roam uses a powerful antenna and a 12V4G router which provides Wi-Fi in a campervan or a panel van.
The Roam helps you to get better internet in two ways.
- Firstly the Roam Campervan uses 4G or 5G mobile data in order to create a reliable Wi-Fi hotspot. By using the antenna it can often pick up usable signals where your phone’s antenna can’t
- Secondly where a direct Wi-Fi source is available the Roam 5G Campervan Wi-Fi system can be used to connect to an existing Wi-Fi hotspot. Ensuring data is only used when necessary
- Overall the Roam kit acts as an ideal campervan or high top van Wi-Fi booster to keep you connected.
Do I need a SIM card for the internet application?
The short answer is yes. There are many different types of SIM cards to choose from and how you choose them should depend on what type of user you are.

Who is it suitable for?
The Roam can provide internet and Wi-Fi to a range of vehicles such as:

Will I be able to watch Netflix, BBC iPlayer or Amazon Prime?
Yes, you absolutely can! The Roam 5G Campervan system can keep you connected to all your favourite shows in rural and remote areas, as long as you have a subscription or license for the relevant service.
You will need about 2 – 3Mbps for standard definition streaming and about 3 – 5 Mbps for HD streaming which are achieved almost everywhere in the UK with the Roam 5G router.
Music streaming services like Spotify need a maximum of 1Mbps. Speeds will be dependent on location and network provider’s signal strength in the area.
Will it work in Europe?
Yes, it will work in Europe. The Roam 5G Combo works across the UK and Europe but this is dependent on data provider and contract. Can I connect smart devices such as lights, CCTV camera and smart switches?
Yes, absolutely. You will be able to connect to the Wi-Fi connection with your smart devices in the same way you connect them to your router at home.
For your Wi-Fi connection to stay active, your router needs continuous power. This is especially important for Wi-Fi CCTV cameras, as they'll require the router to be on even when you're absent. The longevity of your Wi-Fi connection in these situations will depend on your battery's capacity.
